LEVY LOCKDOWN PORTRAITS
"I'm not sure why but I have to fight off tears when I'm leafing through the pages, very emotional, I find it very moving"
Levy Lockdown Portraits tells the story of the UK's first lockdown through the medium of window portraits.
Over a six-week period, I photographed more than 250 households in my Manchester neighbourhood - capturing the spirit and resilience of the community at an odd and disconcerting point in time.
I was able to turn it into a book thanks to 171 backers, who supported my Kickstarter campaign in July 2020.
£400 - ie £1 for every book printed via this crowdfunder - has been donated to Levenshulme Inspire Centre, a community space which put together and delivered food parcels for elderly people and shielders during the pandemic.
